On another note, just a few more weeks and my yearlong project (rolling out 280 brand spanking new computers in conjunction with migrating millions of documents to a new system and thankfully with a team of people) at work will come to an end and there will be no more excuses to not exercise or to not get cracking on finishing the great wood floor installation. There will also be time again to play with paints more than at best once a month. Even today I got to spend some quality time catching up on some blog reading (love Flipboard). So what if the bathroom still needs to be mopped.
Since I can't post without some sort of picture, here is a snippet of a piece I created earlier in the year. Hugs.

Isn't it nice to be being to see the light at the end of the tunnel?? I swear, 2012 is going to be the year for MY stuff. I swear...
Ooooh, I like that. Sorry but I won't be doing the wave. I am waiting on my jeep who has been ordered, but it's not a wrangler. I drive a PT cruiser now and they have the hand wave too! I loved that... A small moment of connection along the road. How fun to read that some other car brands do it too. I love your artwork. Your composition rocks. Great photography... I will be back! It's a promise.
Fun reading about the "inside" Jeep Wrangler salute ;)
Love the vibrant color and texture of the snippet you shared with us...I agree about not being able to post without something to look at too :)
Happy new art week to ya!

How fun with the wave! When we lived in New Mexico and were driving out in the countryside, nearly every driver would greet you that way. Always seemed so friendly... Love your artwork you shared here!! Hugs, Silke
I drive a Honda Element and we usually wave at other Element drivers... don't know if it's a thing but we do it anyway! Fun! I hope you do get more time for your art, because it's lovely.

i love the snipped you shared.....
Good morning Laurel, love the snippet, beautiful colors. Also really like the "Roben like" piece. She has a great way of creating. After hearing you say you liked creating on single pieces of paper i want to encourage you to do just that. when you come next week bring some, or a journal you can rip them out of...i kind of like the look of the spiral edge.
it was sooo good to meet you last night. i think it was your hair color that threw me...was expecting dark like your profile pic.
see you next week.
love the jeep info...i have always wanted a jeep wrangler.
