Bad Blogger Girl...

I've been a bad blogger lately. Having trouble getting posts in and reading the ones I love to visit. So many things to get taken care of and the holidays aren't even here yet. Oh, my.

Well, a week or so ago I ordered a couple little mirrors from Karen Mowrey at Beelieve to support her in her endeavor to raise money for the American Cancer Society. I had to wait a couple days to unwrap it because I needed daylight to take a picture of the lovely box she sent them in. Both mirrors and the art on the top of the box are examples of some of her artwork. She has just started her Etsy shop and has some cute things. Check her out.

Yesterday the girls came over for a scrapbook day at my house. I even had two nights of sleep over guests for the full weekend party. I think we all enjoyed ourselves.

I was supposed to continue working on Christmas presents and I did work on the family ones just a bit but got to the place where I needed pictures. Just wasn't feeling it so started digging through my stamps. I have a set of four that are the exact size needed for ATC's. I've never tried an ATC but being a book addict I have one on that very subject, Artist Trading Card Workshop by Bernie Berlin. I only completed two but I enjoyed the creative process and I really like the small canvas for trying out things. As I was making them I kept thinking how easy it would be to start over if I didn't like it. I didn't do as many layers as I would eventually like to try but I like how they turned out.

This first one I stamped and embossed the image and then blended pearlized stamp inks and then embellished it.

This one I stamped then blended ink colors and then did blotches of embossing for a little different look and then embellished with an additional stamped image and metal. I really want one of those photography light boxes because the colors aren't quite right in the photos but you get the idea.
