Just a little hello...

I am doing very badly at blogging and have lots of goodies I've purchased or won that I need to post about but it will have to wait a bit longer. I do want to tell you about a blog I found in my wanderings from OWOH called Image and Spirit. I'm non-denominational by nature but all that matters is our love of God. This site is sponsored by the Episcopal Church and supports artists. There's some very lovely art and inspiring words you need to check out. Happy reading.

One World-One Heart

Alright, closing comments and will declare the winner a little later.

I've been wanting to do my very first give away and found out about this one that is done yearly called One World-One Heart. It is a fun way to get to know other bloggers. I've been trying to figure out what would be an appropriate giveaway for this and have decided to give away my very first mixed media painting for my first giveaway. It is a 12x12 canvas done mainly in acrylics with some paper buried in there and some cardboard. Just leave me a comment with your blog address and the drawing will be held on February 12th and the winner announced then. I'll also leave a comment on your blog letting you know you are the winner. Please visit the One World-One Heart site to see all the other participants and their cool givaways.

This is going to be fun. Of course now all I have to do is visit 800 other blogs that have joined in.

***********

Hello all, Lisa at OWOH recommends setting a closing time for taking entries so 7:30 am my time on the 12th will be closing time. I'd say midnight on the 11th but I will be asleep seeing as how I have this pesky day job that starts very early. I'll announce the winner by the evening of the 12th and will most likely use that nifty Random Number Generator.

Also want to thank you to all you who are visiting. I so did not expect this many entries and am humbled by it. I also want to give credit to Paulette Insall who's online backgrounds class I took and learned a lot about layering techniques which is how this giveaway painting came to be.

Thanks again for all your lovely comments.

We have a winner! I used Random and meant to grab a screen shot but managed to close the screen without thinking. The winner is Karen Mowrey who I am notifying as we speak.

This was so much fun. I can hardly wait until next year. Now all I have to do is decide what to make for my giveaway. I think I'll do multiples next year like so many did this year.
